The Department of Commerce is one of the oldest and major department of this Institution. It was inaugurated in the year 1980 with three faculty members. The department, keeping in view the changing needs, has been organizing workshops, seminars and other research programs for the benefit of teaching fraternity and students in the Department.
The department adopted and made use of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching techniques effectively. There is academic flexibility in vertical growth of students’ community to join for MBA and M.Com. Courses.
To promote systematic and holistic commerce education for developing skilled manpower, who can add value to the economic resources of the society, strengthen trade, commerce and industry and thereby the civil society.
To build strong manpower with necessary business and technical skills for promoting entrepreneurial activities and produce professionals to promote the best business practices on contemporary issues in the business world.
